1968 Saint Francis College alumnus Frank Tummillo who was killed in the line of duty in 1972 during an undercover narcotics investigation was honored posthumously with the 2024 Assisi Award and a criminal justice scholarship in his name thanks to the fundraising efforts of his Alphi Phi Delta fraternity brothers.

On September 14, 2024, Brother Shamus will hit the trails of Pennsylvania and New Jersey, embarking on a ride that spans two weekends and covers over 98 miles. Each year, 100% of the charity ride proceeds are donated to the Dorothy Day Outreach Center with over 800,000 being raised since the inception of the bike ride.

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û proudly celebrated the Blessing and Dedication of the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û Aviation Education Center alongside the grand opening of its FAA-certified Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) program on August 29, 2024.

The Dr. Wayne and Elizabeth Takacs Biology Department is Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û’s first named academic department, made possible by a generous gift from the Takacs family.

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û announces the receipt of a $500,000 gift, the largest unrestricted annual fund gift from a living alumnus in its history.

Construction work on the Connors Family Fine Arts Center and Resinksi Black Box Theatre at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û is expected to be completed in early to mid-March.

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û Occupational Therapy students and faculty hosted an open house on January 26, 2024 to share their new space, St. Margaret Hall, with the campus community. The department is planning an official open house in April (OT Month) for the public (and alumni!).

On Friday, October 20, 2023, Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û celebrated the Blessing and Dedication of Saint Margaret Hall. The facility, bearing the name of St. Margaret of Cortona, will primarily serve Occupational Therapy and Physician Assistant Science majors and is scheduled to open in January 2024.

The President's Awards Convocation was held on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, in the Maurice Stokes Athletics Center.

Brother Shamus McGrenra, a 76-year-old stage IV colon cancer survivor and a Franciscan Friar, will embark on his 13th Annual #GoBroShamus Charity Bike Ride on June 3, 2023. Cycling the local Rails to Trails in Pennsylvania and Maryland, Brother Shamus will complete the ride over the course of two back-to-back weekends.
