Students and staff from Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û held the 8th annual March for Life on the Mountain, Friday, January 29th. The Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û Knights of Columbus, the Students for Life organization, and Campus Ministry members gathered to unite in prayer and proclaim the sanctity of all human life. Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û is proud to announce that the Brother Shamus McGrenra Charity Bike Ride has raised $113,439 for local residents struggling with rural poverty. On September 14, 2020, Brother Shamus McGrenra, a 73-year-old, stage 4 colon cancer survivor and Franciscan Friar embarked on his 10th Annual #GoBroShamus Charity Bike Ride . Brother Shamus cycled nearly 400 miles following the Erie Canal, starting his journey in Buffalo, NY and concluded his ride in Albany, NY. All the money raised will be used to support the Dorothy Day Outreach Center at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û. Donations

The Catholic Franciscan faith creates the foundation of all things Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û, including the University’s approach to collegiate athletics. Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û proudly has a team chaplain for each of its 22 Division I intercollegiate athletic teams, as well as its marching band and cheerleading programs. 70-Year-Old Stage 4 Cancer Survivor to Cycle 10 States for Charity

On September 8, 2017, 70-year-old Brother Shamus McGrenra T.O.R., a stage 4 colon cancer survivor, will tackle his toughest route in the history of the annual #GoBroShamus Charity Bike Ride . The journey will begin in Bar Harbor, Maine and cover roughly 1,000 miles of mountainous terrain, taking Bro. Shamus through 10 states and several major cities before coming to an end in Jamestown, Virginia. Bro. 4th annual March on Mountain held

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û and the surrounding communities turned out for the fourth annual "March on the Mountain" Pro-Life rally on Friday, January 27, 2017. About 75 people participated in the local version of the D.C. March for Life that is held on each year on the anniversary of the 1973 U.S. Supreme Court decision of Roe vs. Wade.

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û student Matthew Fraley of Frederick, Md, will be traveling to Poland in July as part of the College Knights Pilgrimage to Krakow and World Youth Day. World Youth Day is an international event started by Saint John Paul II in 1985, celebrated annually at the diocesan level and every two to three years in a major city with millions of youth and young adults who come to be with the Holy Father and to celebrate the Catholic faith.
